Keeping your hardwood floors clean and moisture-free is imperative to floor health and maintenance. Follow these tips to effectively mop your hardwood floors.

Always use a near-dry damp mop, since excess water can seep into seams and ruin a floor.
Remove wet spots or puddles right away. Use a soft towel and dry thoroughly.
Most hardwood floors can be safely cleaned with a vinegar mixture. To make sure, clean a small spot using a vinegar mix to make sure it's safe to use on the rest of the floor.
Mix a half cup of white vinegar with a gallon of warm water, which will clean your floor more thoroughly as compared to using just water.
After mopping, dry hardwood floors with a towel or dry mop.
Don't mop your hardwood floors every day, as this could lead to floor damage.
