- Saxony carpets have a slight twist in their fibers, but a more level look that frieze carpeting. Saxony can be used in more formal rooms or casual rooms.

Cut and loop pile carpets combine cut loops and full loops to create a sculpted, textural look. Cut and loop pile carpets offer medium durability and can hide dirt and footprints.
Level loop pile carpets contain loops all of the same height, making this carpet extremely durable and a great choice for casual rooms. Berber carpets are a popular kind of level loop pile carpeting and are available in both wool and synthetic fibers.
